Services: Family medicine, preventative health, women's health, children's health and immunizations, health education, prenatal and newborn care, pharmacy services.

How to be a patient: Sierra Family Health Center accepts new patients. It is appreciated if you call in advance for an appointment. The Medical Center welcomes most private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Women's Health Connection and Nevada Check-Up. A sliding fee schedule for low-income patients who do not have insurance is available. Identification and income information is needed to enroll in the sliding fee program.

Appointments are strongly recommended; some sites do see walk-ins for emergency needs. Call the medical center to check on walk-in availability.

Prescription Refills: Ask your pharmacist to fax your request for prescription refills to the doctor; this will speed up your refill process.

Additional Information: Sierra Family Health Center opened its doors in the capital of Nevada in 1995. Carson City is home to the Kit Carson Trail which winds through one of the largest historic residential districts in the west, passing turn-of-the-century mansions, courthouses, and a depot.
